For your information

The Chamber's next community event will be our "signature" July 4th parade and festival , on Saturday, July 4, 2009.  We invite you to participate.  For more information and registration forms for both the parade and the festival, visit our calendar and click on July 4th.  You may also call the Chamber office at 410-647-3900, or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Our theme this year is "Red, White, Blue....and Green" as a tribute not only to our great nation's birthday, but also to the protection of our environment.  Our Grand Marshals are the presidents of the Magothy River Association and the Severn River Association.

One of the attractions unique to our parade is a DECORATED BIKE CONTEST for our youngest residents.  The section of Holly Avenue where the Chambeer is located (from Riggs Avenue to Evergreen) is closed and children can congregate there for bike decorating and judging.  The three categories for prizes are:  MOST ORIGINAL, MOST BEAUTIFUL, and MOST PATRIOTIC.  Registratin begins at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 10:00 a.m.  The decorated bikes are fed into the parade from Holly Avenue, and the riders proceed to a "parking area" at Sunrise Independent and Assisted Living, where the bikers can wait for their parents to pick them up.  Prizes are announced at the Festival at Cypress Creek Park.  Thanks for Pedal Pushers Bike Shop, KinderCare Learning Center, and Merkert Interiors for their assistance with the 2009 Decorated Bike Contest!
